What does your photo tell strangers?

Free tool · the photo never leaves your phone

Phone cameras hide your exact location, phone model and time inside every photo. Check it, remove it, and add a watermark before you share.

AI photo misuse · straight answers

Can you "AI-proof" a photo?

Can an app make my photo impossible to edit with AI?

Not today. Researchers at MIT built PhotoGuard, which hides tiny changes in a photo so some AI editors produce a broken result. It is a real idea, but it was tested against older AI models only.

Why don't we add that shield to this tool?

A screenshot, a resize or WhatsApp's own compression can wash the shield out, and newer AI tools were never tested against it. A shield that quietly stops working is worse than none, because you relax. So we give you things that keep working: no hidden data, and a visible watermark.

Does the watermark stop deepfakes?

No tool stops a determined faker. A watermark across the photo makes it harder to cut your face out cleanly, and easier to prove which copy came from you. The strongest protection is still sharing fewer clear face photos with people you don't know.

Someone made a fake or morphed photo of me. What now?

Don't pay or reply to anyone threatening you. Take screenshots with the date, report on cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930, and report the post to the app. Fake intimate images can also be reported at stopncii.org.

Three habits for photos

  • Turn off "location tags" or "save location" in your phone's camera settings. Then new photos never carry it.
  • Selling something online? Share a clean copy, and never a photo that shows your house number or vehicle plate.
  • Posting photos of children? Keep the profile private and skip school uniforms and badges in the frame.
